Christmas Tree Special!

CHRISTMAS TREE DESIGN!

Heyy!
I know this post is a little late, but it's here nonetheless!

Christmas is a busy time for all of us, but that doesn't mean there is no time for a little sparkle on your nails!

This design was simple and quick to create.








Equipment:

• Base coat 
• Gold nail polish, Matte effect 
• White nail polish 
• Christmas tree effect (Barry M)
• Red nail gems (3) 
• Nail art brush 

How to create this design? 

1. Firstly  as usual paint a base coat to prevent you nails from being stained by the polish. 
2. Secondly paint all nails (except fourth nail) in Matte gold and wait to dry, paint the fourth nail in two coats in white nail polish. 
3. Once they are dry, on the fourth nail, using a nail art brush dip into green nail polish and draw a Christmas tree, whereas the other nails paint the Christmas tree nail effects and leave to dry.
4. On the fourth nail place two-three nail gems on the tree, to give the impression of decorations. Be sure to put the gems on whilst the nail polish is wet, then paint a topcoat to secure the gems. 
5. Finally once everything is completely dry, paint a last top coat to finish off the design with a little sparkle and shine! 

Well that's all there is for this design, hope you all like it and it has somehow inspired you to create your own....even though it's passed the Christmas holidays.

Harmonious sparkle!

'HARMONIOUS SPARKLE AND SHINE!'

Equipment:

• Gold strenthing base coat (Avon) 
• Cuticle oil
• Barry M Gelly (light blue) nail polish 
• Barry M Gelly (light purple) nail polish.
• Silver glitter top coat

Instructions: 

• Firstly I made sure, my nails were conditioned with oil and lotion (because I researched some nail remover liquids can potentially dry your nails). Then I painted my Gold strength Polish.
• Secondly I painted (thumb, middle and baby) nails in blue as the first layer and purple for the rest of the nails.
• Once dried I painted half of the nail in the opposite colour to create the harmonious colour aesthetic.
• Finally once all nails had half of blue and half purple, I painted silver glitter polish, to give it a shine, TIP: to give the impression of an ombré  look, paint the glitter coat while your nails are still wet, therefore it will be easier to blend. 

Inspiration: 

• I was inspired by light blue and purple because they compliment each other really well, the Gelly effect (Barry M ) creates an almost chilly atmosphere which reminds me of winter season and I thought adding glitter will sparkle any rainy day, like today.

The Check and block Design!

I'm back with a new design that is inspired by hottest pattern trends in fashion, which is the Checkered style.

The colours and patterns were influenced by the page in the background, which was a cut out from my weekly fashion magazine 'LOOK'.

Equipment list:

• Usual base and top coat.
• Nail art brush 
• Black nail polish 
• Light purple nail polish. 
• White nail polish. 

How I created the nail art?: 

• I first painted two coats of white nail polish (for thick and full coverage) 
• Once dried I used the nail art brush with the black and purple nail to paint square blocks on the index and fourth finger nails. 
• On the rest of the nails I just used the purple nail polish and painted vertical and horizontal lines to create the check pattern. 
• Once everything was dried I painted a top coat for longer lasting.

The Geometric Grey!

I'm back and I'm really excited about this nail design!, because it features inspiration from my very own jewellery which I designed and made myself.

This was the first time I had created fashion jewellery but really it's all thanks to the V&A museum for organising the 'Create! Jewellery', which was a one day workshop where I learn about making jewellery with basic materials such as felt and plastic, as well getting to meet two different jewellery designers.

I guess you girls can see my design is a little unique (and maybe weird) but I chose geometric     for its modern and dynamic take on fashion, I love how simplistic the design looks, and I love how well the colours are together.

Now enough about the jewellery lol!
Moving onto nails.....
I wanted to create a nail design with the similar shapes and colours, because they just look so well together.

Equipment:

• The usual top and base coat
• Grey nail polish
• White nail polish 
• And pale dusty blue nail polish.

How I created this design?

• Filed my nails, buffed and polished cuticles, not forgetting the usual, painted my base coat.
• Painted two coats of barry M's grey nail polish and left to dry.
• Used a nail art brush to paint rectangular shapes in a pale blue, for a contrasted effect.
• Once dried I used a dotting tool to randomly paint dots over the two colours.
• Once everything was dried, I of course painted a top coat and finished!

Two sided chic :) !

This new post features my previous nail design that I forgot to upload on my blog, it is a simple design but has that edge of sparkle that makes it perfect style for day and night. :)

 Equipment:

The usual top and base coat.
White nail polish
Grey nail polish
Silver glitter nail polish.
Dotting tools.

How I created this design!:

• I painted my base coat and left it to dry.
• Once it was dried, I painted two coats of white nail polish for full coverage (TIP! The paler nail colour is painted first) 
• Then painted half of each nail in grey, to give it a contrast. I decided not to paint the other colour in a straight line, just so it looks a little unique. 
• Finally I painted a small glitter dot on each side but in opposite direction. ( inspired by the popular symbol 'yin yang'. However I decided to use glitter instead of opposite colours, so that there is a special sparkle.

Celebrating Results Day!

This is another post with a late design, which consists of letters that represents my A level results. Which I thought would be a nice touch for myself, like a treat as I think we have all at some point feel like we earned it!.

 


Equipment:

• Base and top coat.
• Grey nail polish.
• White nail polish
• Fushisa pink nail polish.
• Light pink nail polish. 
• Nail art brushes. 

How to create this design?: 

• Paint your base coat. 
• Paint double coat of grey nail polish (2 coats for full coverage) 
• Using a nail art brush dip in a different colour for each letter ( I based the order of the colours in terms of how well they contrasted with each other.

Sailor chic!

 I painted this nail design in July to celebrate the start of my holiday, but I completely forgot  to upload this on my blog.

Soo a little late but here it is :)

Equipment list:

• Base and Top coat.
• White nail polish.
• Anchor stickers.

How to create this design: 

• Paint base coat to prevent staining your natural nail.
• Using the white nail polish, paint in the style of French manicure on each nail. 
• On the index and fourth finger, carefully stick the anchor sticker in the centre ( my stickers were purchased from Avon) or if you have nail art brushes you can draw the anchor yourself.
• Finally add your topcoat, this will make the sticker last longer.
