Blue and White polka dots

blue and white polka dots !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Looking at my magazines i notice that polka dot on nails are very in this season so i decided to create an original use of colour for my polka dots.

This is the equipment i used to create my design:
  • Barry m top coat (i would recommend this nail varnish; it is a topcoat, base coat and nail hardener all in one)
  • Blue and white nail varnish
  • Dotting tools (you can purchase from online or if you could use a toothpick)

My instructions:

  • Firstly paint your base coat and wait to dry.
  • Secondly paint your nails blue, (make sure you apply a double coat for full colour)
  • Once dry, with your white nail polish dip your thin dotting tool (thinner and smaller dots look more professional) and place the dots on each nail randomly.
  • Once they are all dry paint a top coat to prevent chipping.

I love polka dot designs because it looks simple but complex and you can mix and match different colours.

Jubilee special nail design

     Jubilee Special

For the start of my nail blog i wanted to create a design inspired by the diamond jubilee. My design is simple but the simplicity makes the design stand out.

Here are the tools that i used to achieve this design and to make it look neater:
  ·         nail art
  ·         blue, red and white nail polish (I used Barry m)
  ·         base and top coat
This is my basic step by step instructions to help you achieve this jubilee design.
·         Firstly after you have cleansed your nails, you paint your basecoat on (this is to protect your nails)
·         Secondly, once nails are dry, (if you want to follow my exact design) you paint your thumb and little finger red. Then paint your middle finger blue (this is where your union jack flag is going to be)
The rest of the fingers you paint white.
·         Next once they are dry you apply a second coat (this is to make the colour look more vibrant and full)
·         Now you use a nail brush, dip it in the white nail polish and paint a horizontal and vertical line on your middle finger.
·          Then paint two diagonal lines
·         Once this is all dry, using smaller and thinner brush paint another horizontal and vertical line on top of the white lines.
·         Finally once it is dry apply your topcoat.
Hopefully my instructions were helpful for you to create this jubilee design.
